Terms of Use
Effective date: August, 25, 2026
Last updated: October 1, 2026
These terms apply to your use of infinitylegal.ca and any forms on it. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
This website is information only
The content on this site is general information about Ontario and Canadian law. It is not legal advice, and it may not apply to your situation. Laws change, and the right answer often depends on the details. Please speak with a lawyer before you act on anything you read here.
Information published on this website is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It should not be relied upon as a substitute for legal advice tailored to your circumstances. Infinity Legal is not responsible for decisions made solely in reliance on general information published on this website, subject to applicable law..
Using this site does not create a lawyer-client relationship
Visiting this site, sending a message, submitting a form, or emailing us does not make Infinity Legal your lawyer. A lawyer-client relationship exists only after we've agreed to act for you and you've signed a written retainer agreement with us.
Until then, please don't send confidential details about your matter. Information you send before we've agreed to act for you may not be protected by solicitor-client privilege. Use our forms to introduce yourself and tell us the general topic. We'll ask for the details once we know whether we can help.
However, professional duties of confidentiality may apply to information received from prospective clients, even where no formal retainer agreement has been signed. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude or diminish any duty of confidentiality, solicitor-client privilege, or professional obligation arising under applicable law or the Rules of Professional Conduct of the Law Society of Ontario.
These terms describe our usual process for accepting new clients and do not override any professional relationship or legal obligation that may arise under applicable law.
Conflicts of interest and preliminary inquiries
Before agreeing to represent you, Infinity Legal may need to conduct a conflict-of-interest check and determine whether we are professionally permitted to act in your matter.
For this purpose, we may request basic information, including your name, contact information, the general nature of your legal issue, and the names of other individuals or organizations involved.
Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee that we will be able to represent you. We reserve the right to decline requests for representation, subject to our professional obligations and applicable law.
Please do not submit sensitive documents, detailed evidence, privileged communications, or other confidential materials unless we have specifically requested them.
Legal deadlines
Many legal claims have strict time limits. Contacting us does not pause or extend any deadline. If you're worried about a deadline, don't wait for a reply from us. Speak with a lawyer as soon as you can.
Submitting an inquiry, booking a consultation, or receiving an automated acknowledgment does not mean that Infinity Legal has agreed to monitor, calculate, preserve, or take steps concerning any legal deadline. Unless we have expressly agreed to act, you remain responsible for taking the necessary steps to protect your legal rights.
No guarantees
We can't promise any result. Every matter is different, and nothing on this site, including client testimonials, is a guarantee or prediction of the outcome in your matter.
Past results, examples of legal matters, descriptions of legal services, and general discussions of possible remedies do not guarantee that similar outcomes will be achieved in other cases.
Where we practice
Our lawyer is licensed to practise law in Ontario. Information on this site is about Ontario and Canadian federal law unless it says otherwise. Nothing here is an offer to provide legal services in any other jurisdiction.
Legal services offered by Infinity Legal in Ontario are provided by lawyers licensed and regulated by the Law Society of Ontario. The availability of particular services depends on the nature of the matter, the lawyer's ability to accept the engagement, and applicable professional requirements.
Using the site responsibly
Please use the site only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:
Give false or misleading information in a form or message
Send anything harmful, threatening, or unlawful
Try to break, overload, or get unauthorized access to the site or its systems
Copy or collect content from the site using automated tools
The site is not for emergencies. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911.
You also agree not to impersonate another person, submit information without lawful authority, introduce malicious software, interfere with the website's operation, or use the website in a manner that infringes another person's legal rights.
Infinity Legal may take reasonable steps to prevent misuse of the website, including restricting access or reporting unlawful activity to the appropriate authorities, where permitted or required by law.
Your messages
We do our best to reply to inquiries promptly, but we can't promise a response time or that we'll be able to take on your matter. Whether we can act for you depends on things like the type of matter, our capacity, and conflicts of interest. If we can't help, we'll try to tell you so you can look for other help.
We are not obligated to provide legal advice, investigate a matter, review documents, or commence legal proceedings merely because you have contacted us.
Information received through our website may be reviewed for intake, administrative, conflict-checking, and other legitimate purposes consistent with our Privacy Policy and professional obligations.
Electronic communications and security
Communication through the internet, including email and website contact forms, may involve security risks. Although we take privacy and confidentiality seriously, electronic communications cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure or free from interception, technical failure, unauthorized access, or delivery errors.
You should avoid sending sensitive personal information, identification documents, financial records, medical records, or detailed legal documents through general website forms unless specifically requested by Infinity Legal.
Where appropriate, we may provide alternative or more secure methods for exchanging confidential documents and information.
An automated email response, delivery notification, or acknowledgment of receipt does not establish a lawyer-client relationship and does not constitute confirmation that a lawyer has reviewed your inquiry.
Nothing in this section limits our legal duties to safeguard personal information or protect confidential and privileged communications.
Service of legal documents and formal notices
Unless Infinity Legal has expressly agreed otherwise, or applicable law provides otherwise, submitting documents through this website, its contact forms, or its general email address does not constitute formal service of legal documents or acceptance of service by Infinity Legal.
Our website and general contact channels are not designated for service of originating processes, court documents, tribunal applications, or other documents requiring formal service.
Persons seeking to serve legal documents must comply with the applicable procedural rules and any specific service arrangements confirmed by Infinity Legal.
Our content and trademarks
The text, design, graphics, logo, and other content on this site belong to Infinity Legal Services or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, modify, or use our name, logo, or content for any other purpose without our written permission.
Nothing in these terms restricts any rights or permitted uses available under applicable copyright law.
Unauthorized commercial reproduction, distribution, or use of the website's content or branding is prohibited.
Links to other sites
This site may link to third-party websites, such as social media pages and review sites. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or practices. A link isn't an endorsement.
When you leave our website or interact with an independent third-party service, that provider's own terms, privacy policies, and security practices may apply. We encourage you to review them before providing personal information.
Third-party services and website tools
Certain website features may be provided or supported by third-party service providers, including website hosting services, appointment scheduling tools, contact forms, or other electronic communication platforms.
The availability and operation of these services may depend on systems outside our direct control.
Where personal information is processed through such services, its collection, use, disclosure, and safeguarding remain subject to applicable privacy law, our Privacy Policy, and any applicable professional obligations.
Site provided as is
We work to keep the information on this site accurate and current, but we don't promise that it is complete, accurate, or up to date, or that the site will always be available or free of errors. To the fullest extent the law allows, we provide the site "as is" without warranties of any kind.
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue portions of the website or its functionality as necessary, subject to applicable law.
We are not responsible for interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including internet outages, hosting failures, third-party service disruptions, or malicious cyberactivity, except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Infinity Legal Services and its lawyers, employees, and service providers are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using this site or relying on its content. This section applies to your use of the website only. It does not limit our duties to clients under a signed retainer agreement or our professional obligations as lawyers.
Without limiting the foregoing, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, Infinity Legal is not responsible for losses arising from technical interruptions, website unavailability, reliance on outdated general information, or unauthorized interference with the website by third parties.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits any rights or remedies that applicable law does not permit parties to waive.
Privacy
How we handle your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
We encourage all visitors to review the Privacy Policy before submitting personal information through the website.
Nothing in these terms authorizes the collection, use, or disclosure of personal information in a manner contrary to applicable privacy legislation or our professional obligations.
Accessibility
Infinity Legal is committed to providing accessible and respectful communication with individuals who seek information about our legal services.
If you experience difficulty accessing information on this website or require information in an accessible format, please contact us using the information provided below. We will consider requests for accessible communication in accordance with applicable law.
Relationship to legal services and retainer agreements
These terms govern access to and use of the Infinity Legal website. They do not replace, amend, or supersede any separate written retainer agreement governing legal services provided by Infinity Legal.
Where an individual becomes a client, the provision of legal services will be governed by the applicable retainer agreement, the law, and the professional obligations imposed on Ontario lawyers.
In the event of a conflict between these website Terms of Use and a client's retainer agreement concerning legal representation, the retainer agreement will govern the legal services relationship, subject to applicable law and professional obligations.
Nothing in these terms is intended to waive solicitor-client privilege, a lawyer's duty of loyalty or confidentiality, or any other professional obligation owed under applicable law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute about these terms or your use of this site will be decided by the courts of Ontario.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date shows when they last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
If a part of these terms doesn't apply
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest still applies.
