Privacy Policy
Effective date: August, 25, 2026

Infinity Legal Services ("Infinity Legal", "we", "us") is a law firm in Toronto, Ontario. This policy explains what personal information we collect through infinitylegal.ca, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it plain.
Please don't send confidential details
Our website and forms are for introductions only. Please do not send confidential details about your matter through the website, the forms, or by email before we've confirmed that we can act for you. Sending us a message does not create a lawyer-client relationship. See our Terms of Use.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out the Contact form, the Intake form, or the pop-up form, or when you email or call us, we may collect:
Your name, phone number, and email address
Your mailing address, if you choose to give it
The message you write and the general topic of your inquiry (for example, employment or human rights)
How you heard about us
Employment details you enter on the Intake form: your employer, the city you worked in, your job title, your yearly pay and benefits, how long you worked there, whether you're a member of a union, whether you signed an employment agreement, and whether you've been terminated, laid off, or left your job because of something your employer did
You don't have to fill in every optional field. We only need enough to contact you.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we and our service providers may collect your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you stay, and the website or search that referred you. This comes from cookies and similar tools described below.
We do not ask for government-issued ID through this website. If you hire us, we'll tell you what identification we need and how to send it securely.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
Respond to your inquiry and book a consultation
Check whether we can act for you, including checking for conflicts of interest
Run, secure, and improve our website
Meet our legal and professional obligations, including rules set by the Law Society of Ontario
Send you updates or newsletters, but only if you've agreed to receive them
Understand your situation well enough to tell you whether we can help
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for anything unrelated to these purposes without asking you first.
Your consent
By submitting a form or contacting us, you agree that we may collect and use your information as described here. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us (details below). Withdrawing consent may mean we can't continue to respond to your inquiry or provide services.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the firm, and only as needed. Right now these are:
Squarespace, which hosts our website, processes our form submissions, and provides site analytics
Google Workspace, which provides our email, calendar, and file storage
Google Analytics and Google Search Console, which help us understand how people find and use our website
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, such as a court order, or to protect our legal rights. If we ever need to share your information for another reason, we'll ask you first.
Where your information is stored
Our service providers may store and process information on servers outside Canada, including in the United States. Information held in another country is subject to that country's laws, and courts or government authorities there may be able to access it.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable safeguards, including password protection, access limited to people who need it, and secure, reputable service providers. Form submissions are encrypted while they travel between your browser and our website. After a submission arrives, it is stored with Squarespace and delivered to our Google Workspace email. No online system is completely secure, which is another reason we ask you not to send confidential details before we've agreed to act for you.
Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them to keep the site working and to understand how visitors use it. We use Google Analytics, which uses cookies to collect information such as your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view, and how you arrived at our site. This information is used to produce reports about site activity. Google may store and process this information outside Canada, including in the United States. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The site may not work as well if you block cookies.
We also use Google Search Console to see how our site appears in Google search results, such as which searches lead people to our pages. Search Console reports on search performance and does not collect personal information from visitors to our site.
How long we keep it
If you contact us and we don't end up acting for you, we keep your inquiry for 12 months and then delete it, unless we're required to keep it longer. If you become a client, your file is kept under our professional record-keeping obligations, which are separate from this website policy.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
Tell you what personal information we hold about you
Correct information that's wrong or out of date
Delete your information, where we're allowed to
Stop sending you marketing emails
Send your request to [privacy email address]. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Email updates
We only send marketing or newsletter emails if you've agreed to receive them. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us directly to remove you.
Children
This website is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 without a parent or guardian involved.
Links to other sites
Our site may link to other websites, such as social media pages and our Google Business Profile. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their privacy practices.
